Trying to find the best SBC --> LS motor mount adapters for my Volvo Hey y'all,
Getting ready to put my 5.3 back together and get it into my car. I have a 700R4 as well as a 4L60E, and I'm leaning towards using the 4L60E. I would very much prefer to keep the driveshaft I already have and of course also would like the transmission to stay in the same position it is now. The car is a 1987 Volvo 740.
The car has previously had a 350 SBC in it with a 700R4. The motor went bad so now I'm putting the 5.3 in it. I want to leave as much alone as possible on the car. It has the SBC mounts on the crossmember, and I have the old engine mounts from the old SBC block as well.
I'm trying to figure out what set of adapters will allow me to mount the engine in the exact spot that the SBC was, so that it'll bolt up to the transmission and subsequently leave everything else in the car alone.
