Nice Project Jason. I'm just in the tear down stages of my LS3 conversion into a 69 Camaro convertible. Why the switch from Tanks Inc ?? I was planning on going this route due to the cheaper cost. I don't think the total was 500 out the door.

Being blown I need something that adjusts based on boost. By the time I figure in the price of a boost referenced regulator an extra fuel line etc it's not much more expensive. I'm still not 100%

Accesory brackets came today (lsxconcepts) so I couldn't help but slap them on and the blower to take a look.

Finally got all of my accessories in. Waiting for the passenger side tensioner and bolts as well as the belts which should be here tomorrow and then the FEAD is done.

Found out this blower came with a special offset pulley that allows the use of fbody accessories so I had to pull the snout to have that removed. I've got someone buying that this weekend and then I'm just going to have a stock one pressed on for now.

Next up parts wise is the holley/hooker swap kit and my yet to be decided fuel system. As soon as all of that comes in I'll be ready to start yanking out all of the old stuff and we'll really start moving.

Getting there.

Holley valve covers, new coils, finally got my crank pulley and finished the accesories.

These holley valve covers are awfully pretty.

Getting the crank pulley on was a bitch despite heating it a while. Still have a small gap on the crank snout. My buddy told me there's supposed to be 2.4-4.5mm which im well within but I always assumed it had to be flush. Drill is charging and I'll hopefully pin it tonight if I grow some *****.

So in order to use the holley swap kit you need to switch to the late style clamshell motor mounts.

I got these:

Along with these to use for the cross bolts:

But their too damn short. I triple checked the part numbers and they seem to be right. Guess I'll have to call arp tomorrow

talked to arp...they were basically like i dunno....find it hard to believe I'm the only one that's run into this since its a super common application. The bolts are 3.75" and need to be about 1" longer. Said they don't even offer anything longer than this as it's their longest bolt.

I guess these go back and off to the hardware store I go.

Holley 302-2 and motor mount adapters will be here tomorrow. In the meanwhile I'm standing here making car noises

Should be in business once the clutch, hydraulics and pilot bearing get here.

Had to spread the damn frame rails about 1/2" to get it to mount. Must have warped some when it was baked/powdered.

Just a factory ls7 setup. Should be fine for the street since I'm on street tires and it may see the racetrack once a year.

Pinned the crank. Not sure why I was so afraid and kept putting this off. Took me under 5 minutes.

Wife just caught me cleaning my t56 bellhousing in the stationary tub with a Brillo pad. She's not too happy. Plus side is I think I've got permission to buy a parts washer.

Bellhousing cleaned and painted.
