I used the RX8 pcm and gave it inputs from the rx8 senders.

Cruise control
I'd appreciate if you could detail the cruise control wiring, when you get to that point. I'm planning to use an LS2 TB with an LS1 computer on my next swap and would like to have functioning cruise.

Thanks!

I think it will work as long as you have a DBW harness I'm doing the same swap, and isolated the on off and brake switch,to splice into the rx8 cruise control wires.

So the cruise control is a no go. After examining the steering wheel I can't get past the can bus without some serious work. I considered an on/off switch and momentary switches in the ashtray but the ergonomics were wierd and I wasn't interested in going through the trouble for a system that would appear to be an afterthought. Not a whole lot in the way of updates. Spent a few days on the rear end but got it bang on. The 4.44s and viscous LSD were tossed in favor of a set of super low mile 3.90s and a Torsen LSD. Also has Whiteline poly bushings. Got the harness done as well. Should be done this weekend. Tomorrow I'm gonna reassemble the rear suspension and build some exhaust. If I finish up before dark tomorrow I'll take some updated pics. For now all I have is some of the rear.

Would the ergonomics be awkward with a switch like this mounted just aft of the shifter in the console? It's an analog switch.

Probably would be better but that thing is an eyesore. No way would I install that thing in an area as visible as the console. Good news is the brake and clutch switch will work for the cruise but I just couldn't find good spot for the controls.

I'm sure you could find a couple OEM of momentary (power window) rocker switches to mount in the console that would look factory. Along the lines of this.

one of my C10s had the cruise buttons apart from the steering wheel and it was just too awkward. I've given up on cruise anyway. It's only a few wires if you are using DBW. I can pm you a wiring diagram if you need.

that thought very briefly crossed my mind when I was building it. But I get to scratch that itch with my GT42 turbo C10 build when this car sells. Got it very near finished today. Just gotta get some little stuff taken care of tomorrow morning when the store opens. Had the AC vac on today for about 12 hrs and 8 hrs later it's still at -30 in/hg. Still need to figure out the strut bar situation though. I built some 1" risers today but it looked wierd with the bases elevated off the strut towers. Gonna build some new brackets to weld onto the bases. Got the y pipe tacked up today and gonna tie up the bottom of the car tomorrow. Should be driving this week.

It will be up for sale later this week. Wife needs a van and I hate car payments.

Been working around the clock and got it gtg. Still gotta put the nose back on it and charge the AC. Too it for a drive and it is MUCH faster. Sad to say the sleepe'ness is long gone. I'm gonna take off that NoPistons sticker this evening. I'm not fooling anyone.
