Default Ls to th400 setups
I just wanted to see what most guys did to connect a th400 to LS engines. I have an LY6 and planning to buy a th400 from rossler. I am leaning towards getting a vigilante converter that will hopefully bolt in without issue.

Tried a search? I know there are at least 20 threads in this section on fitting older automatics to the LS...

Yeah I have searched them I just wanted to see what others are running. I'm still waiting to hear back from precision industries about a quote on one of their converters. I know about the crank spacers and flexplates available. I have to buy a torque converter anyway, so I would like to get one that is a direct fit without needing anything else.

I just found a converter from Yank that also looked interesting. I just want to hear from other members that are running converters like these on how well they fit and if anything else was needed.

Circle D also has some converters for ls to non electronic transmissions.

I'm currently running an ly6 with a th400. Bought flexplate kit from advance adapters since I already had an aftermarket torque converter.

Ive ran a yank converter and have had friends run yank converters. Simply too tight and did not like them. All in turbo cars though. we switched to PTC converters. i had one built for my combo and it kicks ***. Hutch Transmissions built th400.

Dayco I believe also makes a conversion converter ,, as well as California performance transmission

I have a th350 with basically a ly6. I used a circle D converter that fits perfect. Fits th350/400 trans with ls flexplate bolt pattern and the longer pilot.

It's a really nice piece.

Thanks. I really liked the Circle D when I looked it up. Glad to hear your having success with it. Its my front runner right now.
