Default Tanks Inc products?

I am installng a ls 402 stroker swap in my 72 Chevelle. I am trying to plan the fuel system. The 402 will be Procharger F1-A supercharged, I would like around 750 to 800 rwhp. Will the Tanks Inc 400 liters per hour PA-6 be enough pump? If i use the Tanks Inc Russell fuel line kit with Corvette regulator will there be any problems with it being none adjustable at that power level? Also, what are guys doing with the vent line? thanks

Ricks Tanks Vaporworx might be a better option for those kind of HP numbers. Less plumbing is another advantage to it.

I did some research in the vapor works setup it seems like a really nice option but it is also very expensive and prefer the stock look of tanks inc style tanks, what is the advantage running that setup over a single 400lph pump and boost referenced regulator?

If stock looks is what you are after. I purchased a new sumped tank from aeromotive that came with an a1000 pump. Should cut down the middle on price between tanks Inc and the ricks setup.

I don't have a good answer about your regulator question, sorry

VaporWorks is the only sensible option because it uses OEM validated components that will give you years of trouble free service.

If you want stock appearance, choose the stamped tank option with the VaporWorks module.

I gave ricks tanks a call and asked him about the vapor works setup, he mentioned that a dual ctsv with module setup he built for a pro touring camaro was almost 2800 dollars, that's too much over budget. He also mentioned that for my use that would be overkill I am going with ricks tank with sump inline dual walbros or I might go intank walbros

If you want to save money, buy a cheap stock replacement tank (about $130) and modify it yourself to fit the VaporWorx modules. Assuming you have a welder...

If you go with the system you mentioned, you will be by-passing a lot of fuel at light loads and this just heats up the fuel in the tank and eventually causes all kinds of problems. It's fine for drag racing, but if this is going to be a street car, you are asking for trouble.

I think it would would be easier to run one of the pumps by a hobbs switch than trying to fit two ctsv fuel pumps in stock chevelle gas tank.

I have the tanks inc. system in my 69 firebird, Wasn't happy that the pump assembly did not come assembled in my gas tank.. extra work for me. I got the 255 pump which will be plenty for me but if I was shooting for high horsepower I would go with a sumped tank and external fuel pump as stated above.

OP, it sounds like you are going with a Rick's Tank, but for others reading this thread, I wanted to pass on some personal knowledge. Don't even bother with the rubber gaskets Tanks sends you. Insist on the cork gaskets and use some anaerobic sealant (Props to GatTagO, for that info) unless you feel like dropping the tank multiple times. Also, I personally found out that you can run the tank down to less than two gallons without the pump sucking air. Very good baffling system.
