Default Need Help........

Well.....So far I have 14,100 trouble free miles on my LSA / Chevelle conversion..........Just got home yesterday from the Good-Guys Hall of Fame tour (2400 miles).........Now....today I was at a little local car show and when it was time to go , the car cranked but wouldn't start.......ran a scan and got these codes P2135 & P2176......after a few minutes it started and I drove it home......got in the garage and shut it off and now it won't start......cranks but no start........as far as I can see the TPS is bad.......I ordered a new one but I thought I would see if anyone here has ever encountered a similar situation and am I going in the right direction ????

Thanks in advance

Ken

Well that sucks to hear. I wish I had an answer for you, but unfortunately I'm not real good in that department. I did however, have an LS3 that would throw several TPS codes and it ended up being the throttle body sticking. Might be worth a look just to see if it operates smoothly by hand? At any rate, this is a bump for you so maybe someone more intelligent may see it and chime in. Good luck!

Ken,

I have an extra throttle body. Your engine uses the same ones as I have on the Cougar. It is yours, just let me know and I will send it.

Eric and Andrew........Thanks....But I have a friend at GM that told me it's in the connection between the harness plug and the TPS switch or the TPS switch itself.......Got a new switch coming so I'll report back after installation.....

Thanks for the responses

Ken,

I am confused. With a DBW TB and electronic pedal, there is no separate TPS sensor. What do you have coming?

Ken,

You are a genius. So I was in Bowling Green as well for Holley LS Fest and my Cougar on several occasions just died. It rained quite hard on Friday and we were driving the Cougar in the rain (but it never died in the rain). We kept thinking that the issue had something to do with some changes that we made to the tune, but reading your description makes me think that I got water in the TB connectors.

You're right, this car stuff is hard!
