Started tearing the caddy apart tonight for the swap. Does anyone have a idea what motor mounts would work with the least modifications using the factory location mounts in the car??
Welcome to the world of old caddys lol! The place where you cant bolt anything on....... (sure you know) Don't know bout 64, but these are a pretty universal mount that was going to work for my 70, I just ended doing something different
Oh yea I know all about it. Finding parts is quite a challenge most of the time. That's why I wanna do this swap. I have looked at these mounts and several different others. I will have to wait til I set the motor in place to get an idea of what will work.
I had looked at buying a '61 with a LS1 in it, the guy had used BMW hydro mounts. Said they fit pretty good, and put the engine in the right place, at least for him. What trans do you plan on using?
