Default Cooling issues

Ok I have a 5.3, corvette waterpump, new aluminum radiator with in and out both side

s with flexible hoses. Can't get the temp up to even 160, both hoses are cool, and my fans are not kicking on. I filled the radiator and pored the rest down the top radiator hose. Any Suggestions to get this flowing. Do you think the lower hose is in to much of a bind? Comes out and up about 6 inches.

Well I let it run about 10 minutes today about 2000 RPMs from start. Got it to about 170 and shut it off. Top radiator hose is hot. But the three corners of the radiator are still cool in the lower radiator hose is still cold. In the PIC you can see the heater hose loop I have their blistering hot but still don't get it while it's not pumping yet. Even tried to motivate the thermostat by heating up the housing area with a torch but it still didn't work. I'm using equess short sweep gauge, with the autometer short sweep adapter.

Assuming the stock thermostat is at least 185 degrees, you haven't even opened it yet. let it run until the temperature reaches the opening point and you should be fine.

T-stats will only BEGIN to crack open when the rated (stamped) temp is achieved. Then fully open during the next 8*-15* rise on average. Heat one up on your stove to varify.
My 170* hovers around 185* while cruising.
I say run it longer.
