What disk setup did you use on the rear end? I currently have 98+ fbody setup because I like the internal parking brake but it puts a gap in between the axle flange and the bearing retainer that holds the axle in.

Ok, I was referring to the factory Buick Speedo harnesses pigtail. I need to hook those wires into the digital dash ~ Turn signals etc. I don't have a wiring diagram that tells this color is this or that. My harness for my 5.3 is from PSI Conversions.

It's an eBay kit the owner bought. Was not a big fan, but got it to work.

I'm assuming you did not have the issue I'm having with the gap between the rear axle flange and the bearing retainer on the axle? What did you not like about the kit? I need to find a different option for mine because getting spacers machined is not something I have time for.

The parking brake cable did not just go in place as it was supposed to. Made a bracket to adapt it. I ddon't recall there being a large space.

I have all of them. They just don't say white = this etc. Hmm. I greatly appreciate all of your help for sure. This thread is really good. What drive shaft & shift linkage did you use? All I really have left is the dash wiring, shift linkage for my 4l60e & the drive shaft.

Driveshaft shop made one, and I made the shift linkage out of 3/16" I think bar stock hooked to the column. Works perfect except you can't pull it to first which you really don' need to unless you not want first gear burnouts!!

Actually, I used a comolete new harness that every wire is labeled but you could use a 9v battery connected to each wire one at a time and ground, then test light probe to verify.

I'm doing the same swap, was wondering what frame mounts you used on cross member? I have the Buick 300 mounts they are off by a lot.

small block or big block chevelle mounts work great. I’m trying to milk the last dollar out of my stock 300/300 combo before I drop the 5.3 in. Getting the suspension and other things worked out first. It “looks” like it wants an LSx though!

Whoooo.... Those wheels look absolutely **** on that thing.

OP - was there any value in your car as it sat? Numbers matching? Factory AC and convertible, has to be pretty rare. Well, it was.....

It was a build for a customer. No value as it sat due to nothing really original left besides the 300 engine. Were did the swap and gauges, car drove away needing 10s of thousands in metal work and other repairs that I would not know if any or all was completed.

thanks, that's an 18x9 on the rear with a 275, 18x8 front with a 255. Had to remove one fenderwell bolt at the top in the front for scrub and I rolled the lips in the rear 1/4's. All new suspension and it drives like a whole different car! Waiting on my big sway bars right now. Trying to get my 70 Camaro back on the ground too. Just finished doing a hotchkis rear bar and a set of Viking coilovers in the front. Trying to dial in the perfect ride height on it and it's not much fun. It's been down a few months now too and I'm missing driving it. Gotta get busy!
