Thank you for the input. Also, I should have mentioned it is a convertible. I think the only change would be the trans mount. Does anyone have all the part numbers that I need or do they offer a kit?
Would the chevy van 3500 be the same as the truck pulleys?
Holley 302-2 oil pan. The forward bias engine mounts. The long tube Holley Hooker Blackheart headers. I am using my stock original transmission cross member with my 4L60E and simply moved it to a different spot on the frame rails.
This is all with a Generation 3 LS engine and transmission. Your mention of using a donor 2012 to 2020 engine - a Generation 4 motor - adds a lot of uncertainty to answering your questions. Those are AFM / DOD motors that most would recommend deleting and using a different set of lifters, cam, trays and valve lifter oil manifold anyway.
I have an issue with my set up. I am installing a 302-1 oil pan with 71221007HKR brackets and Holley engine mounts in my 1968 Chevelle and the oil pan is touching the crossmember. The mount and bracket holes still aren't even aligned, there is still maybe a 1/4" to go. I have a pair of engine mount spacers on order but those are only like 3/16" so I am unsure that those will provide the needed clearance. I get that frames can have slight variations and tolerances but this seems odd given how much clearance I got with the a similar set up on my Regal. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. (and I cannot use the 302-2 oil pan because this is a long stroke engine) Am I missing something obvious? I've been over it and the instructions a dozen times to check - I loosened the bracket to frame bolts, I tried lowering the transmission output. Nothing helps.
Hey Andrew and Nelson, thank you for the quick responses! It appears the 302-5 will work with the 4" stroke. This is all probably due to a lack of research when starting the project. Who needs a never-used 302-1?? Haha
Maybe Todd could post part numbers all in one area for the 70-72 A body convertible, using the forward mounts. Maybe using the truck (or?) stock accessory package?
What do you think about using the Holley in tank A body fuel pump 510-12-303 for the LS?

Sadly, Todd may not be posting here much. Don't hold it against him, since he is under no obligation to do so.
I also had no idea the 302-5 pan existed.
The 12-303 pump assembly would work with a LS swap.
Andrew, yeah it's the same as 302-3 but without the oil drain back holes machined so it's a little cheaper. I am glad I spotted it on the site before putting in my order. And, I am not trying to preach but I do wish Holley's site had a little better method of listing parts that fit your application or it were just easier to digest. It took me some hunting to even find the sump baffle kit that goes with that pan (and the -3). It's not a big deal at all, and I think Holley's site is great, it could just use some clearer information up front.
I saw your Cougar at the LS East a few years back, man what an amazing car! I take a lot of inspiration from your builds and knowledge and can't wait to read through the 3.0 build on the GTO.
I'm glad to hear you got it all figured out vandall, maybe Holley will somehow catch your feedback and make changes to their website in response. As Andrew mentioned, I have abandoned the Toddoky username to Holley and no longer update any of the threads I created under it since I no longer work there. I'll create a new user account one of these days so I can continue to participate here independently of my association with Holley.

Try a GM pn 14100597NU pulley from a Chevy S10 truck that should be abundant at the junk yards - they also show up on EBay. This is one inch smaller in overall diameter with the same shaft diameter as the LS power steering pump.
Does this pulley make the pump spin faster, you might ask? Yes, it does, but it has made no difference in the pump performance, pump life span or the steering feel across the road. OTOH, I do have a GM Saginaw steering box out of a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee in my 1970 A-Body El Camino. Try the S-10 pump pulley on yours and see how it works. These pulleys are cheap at the JY.

thanks but I need the alternator pulley part number not the power steering one I’m using rear set mount not forward.
Is there a cheaper header or manifold that will work with the Holley forward mounts and trans crossmember in a 71 Cutlass with a 4L80? I really don’t eant to spend 1k on headers.

Hooker offers very nice cast manifolds and they are also offered in cast stainless steel.
