Priced Right?

I have been talking with a local salvage yard about a motor/tranny swap for my 67 Camaro. They happen to call me this morning, because they have a line on a 05 GTO LS2 with a T56 with around 60,000 miles on it for $4200. I don't have much time to decide and research so I thought I would ask if that sounds like a decent deal?

Sounds like a decent deal to me if that is what you are looking for and they can verify the mileage. Low mile engines with 6 speeds are getting harder to find.

Thanks for the quick response, and that is what I was thinking as well. This will be a big project for me (never done anything quite like this) and I plan on using this forum as my main resource.

It comes with all the wiring, computer and accessories so that is a big advantage over buying a truck motor and dealing with all that nonsense up front.

I will be honest that this seems to be happening all too quickly. I bought some body parts for my Cruze at the junkyard and just asked about some LS swap parts last week. Now I have a quick decision to make but I think it may be a mistake to turn this down. Head is spinning!
