1999 Camaro v6 to lq9 swap questions
I've got a 1999 v6 Camaro with a blowen v6 motor and I need to know what all I would need to do a lq9 swap . I want to to do H/C/I swap too so should I just buy a block with the pistons in it ? Well the v6 trans fit if so can I just get it builded to handle the power?

For swapping you'll need the engine harness, ECM, K member/steering rack, you might as well do the entire front end to get the better brakes as well, radiator/fans, transmission (the V6 is a 60 degree which has a different bellhousing pattern), miscellaneous parts like heater hoses, and H/C/I is enough where the rear axle would be worth getting swapped for a 12 bolt or 9 inch for reliability. It's a more involved conversion than you'd likely expect.
If you're looking at stock short blocks you're better off buying as complete as possible so that you're not getting nickle and dimed with small parts that a block and rotating assembly alone would not have.
