In two weeks my dad and I will be going to the drag strip and will see what it can do. Should be interesting
We want to hear about how you make out!!

Still loving this setup? I’m looking at the Lt4 as 6 speed into my 68. Any chance you made a parts list?

In for that information too. I see the oil pan is out and ready, now I'm just hoping to see a first gen f-body engine mount setup that works with the hooker 4l80e trans x-member.

I can say what you're looking for is something I've been working on in the Holley engineering lab, but I don't quite yet know when the parts will become available. The Hooker LT1/LT4 1st-gen engine brackets will work with all of the existing Hooker transmission crossmembers that were developed for the LS swap application.

Thanks Todd,

I had bought all the LS stuff to do an LSA/4l80e swap but the LT4 crate engine is intriguing.

But i'd have to have the DSE front subframe since those mounts are available, the stock subframe mounts aren't out yet, correct?

That's correct, the mounts for the DSE subframe have been released but the mounts shown in the photos I posted for the stock subframe have not.

I've not been informed of what's on the horizon in that regard Andrew. I've personally been developing various Fox Body swap systems exclusively for the past 1.5 years and look forward to moving on to a new platform in the near future.

Any updates I know I'm wishful thinking but since Summit has been complete idiots regarding my 302-3 pan order from a month+ ago that was supposed to ship on 4/4 and still hasn't, I'm at the point of just returning all the LS stuff and just wait for the LT stuff and order though a MUCH better company. No more walmart of the performance industry for me.

Toddoky,
The LT1 headers look good. It doesn't have that one primary that goes over (Cyl 3 over 5&7)

Correct Jimbo1367, they follow the same tube routing scheme as the Hooker Blackheart LS swap headers.

For a stock subframe, Holley has the mounts ready and oil pan available. You just purchase the LS swap frame stands and then get the LT engine mounts that are designed to work with the LS frame stands. They have taken into account the geometry differences between the LS and LT...

Andrew is partially correct. The engine mounting in this application is based around the use of the original GM clamshell mounts in the Hooker Blackheart LS and LT swap systems and requires specific engine-side brackets for each. We are working through the first production run of the LT swap headers now and the engine mounting brackets should become available in January. The Holley LT swap pan is available now and fits the application perfectly.
