There is maybe 3-3.5" between the inlet and the head lamp bucket on each side. A filter would be one heck of a squeeze. Might just have to toss screens on them to keep the birds out.

Which housings are you running again? Ever check pre/post IC pressures?

I have the 0.81 open T4 housings. I am planning to check pre/post IC pressures this week.
