Read through your build and I got a question. Do you have any issues with the power steering belt engagement? I am building a 79 camaro and I modified the bracket so the alternator sits more off the to the side and mine now has about the same amount of engagement on the power steering pump that yours looks to have too.

Since I’ve put the T56 in my brakes have been acting weird. When the car is off they feel normal. When the car is at idle they feel spongey but will work half of the time but I have to pump them. When I’m cruising the brakes work just fine. I’m not sure if me taking the booster off messed something up because when it had the small block they worked just fine. Maybe the motor isn’t making enough vacuum? But I can’t imagine that because it is only an LS6 cam. Thoughts? I was thinking about going to an 8” booster for the space it saves anyways.

Car has been phenomenal this summer. I changed the dash gauges down to the console. I liked where they were but I couldn’t see them. Also had to make room for a fuel level gauge. Ultimately I would like to do a 5th gen console. Cup holders are taken for granted, also want to do a handbrake Setup over the parking brake setup now.

Making progress on the turbo swap. Going to low mount alternator, and scored an LS1 FBody PS pump with a billet pulley. ICT Billet alternator bracket. Have to go to tubular control arms in order for the forward facing headers to fit. Had to change to a new master cylinder for the new brake booster. Proportioning block ran into the headers. I just keep opening a new can of worms it seems. At least the car is getting upgraded in other areas throughout the process. The alternator is a little low for comfort without notching the frame. We’ll see what it looks like with the wire on it. Trying not to notch my frame. I didn’t realize but my iron block doesn’t have the third alternator bracket mounting hole. It’s right off the timing chain cover. Is that an aluminum block thing only?
