I got a l33 out of a 09 sierra I'm planning on in my turbo fox. I plan on using a ls6 cam with my tc78. I know it's a 3 bolt and the original was a 1 bolt. I have the new cam gear along with the lingenfelter.box and ls2 or 3 Valley cover ( can't remember which one). Also have ls7 lifters and trays. Question is what front cover and timing chain do I use? I read about the ls2 chain and tensioner?
I know this has been covered somewhere but can't find a definitive answer. Thanks

If it's an 09 engine and came out of a Sierra and has an aluminum block then it is a LH6...

This is a Gen IV engine and better than a L33...except for the AFM and VVT...

Im pretty sure it was an 09. I didnt see any VVT stuff on it though. The front cover has a sensor and bracket on it that is curved around the boss and is about 4 inches long. I could reuse the stock chain. I think its just cheap insurance to change it. Even though you still have a chance of it breaking even with new chains. Thanks for the replies.

You're right, no VVT on the LH6...Here is a Word document with all details...

Just ditch the AFM and you'll have a good base for your build.
