GEN V Swap info!
DOD/AFM disabled.
VATs disabled.
Down stream O2s
I assume I need to disable TCS, which I believe is traction control?
What else should I do? Just delete everything that's causing a DTC? I am running the evap stuff so don't wanna delete that.
thoughts? Ideas? Good/bad?
Thanks,
Sean

I too think the OE tank would by far be the way to go, so if you don't have a vehicle that Ricks Tanks makes a tank for, you're kind of SOL, This seems to me to be the sticking point with the LT swap. Muscle car guys have some options, everyone else doesn't, so you're stuck using a non vehicle specific fuel cell, or cutting up your tank.
but in general, thread bump for more Gen V swap info, since the parts available for Gen V swaps has exponentially increased since this thread was started.
I’m to the point that I’m ready to start gathering parts for wiring, PCM, and other needed items. I would really like to go the factory PCM route rather than use the Holley system. I do understand that I will need to run a stand-alone for the 4L80.
is there any suggestions for harness and pcm for a swap like this? I was thinking maybe a 6.2 Gen V manual PCM? Is there any other things that I will need for fuel feed, gas pedal (drive by wire) or fan and or gauges?
I see numerous LT swaps in vehicles, but they seem to use 6L, 8L, & 10L transmissions. I am assuming that a large majority of them a total vehicle takeouts. Any information anyone could give me will be VERY appreciated! I hope this isn’t something that has already been beaten into the ground, but just haven’t found the answers in any other forums.
I have an L33 swapped 1998 C1500 truck with fuel/filter regulator setup running from 1 year ago without problems.
