Thanks.. so the story is I do ls swaps here and there took on this lt swap thinking would be plug and play on electronics. I had harness done and ecm flashed by my ls guy. I couldn't figure it out with him. Called ken wolkens who only does lt swap harness. Did a good job physically. He said he only does the harness if just at spear tech does the tune. So I spent the money again bought a new harness from GMC for the truck combo sent to ken. He redid the harness sent it to me. I tried to flash the ecm my self since I have hp tuners. Couldn't connect said no connection. So I physically sent the ecm in to speartech. He flashed sent back got excited to see if I had gas pedal. But I feel it's the same issue before I sent to the latest exam and harness guy. Never had these issues with ls swap. But trying to get figured out. Been 6 months on this electronic deal. I left key on while I ran some errands charging battery again to see if the harness hums. To answer your question on the tranny. Just when he flashed the ecm I assumed read the original tranny tune factory and considered the transmission type by the tune. Thanks for the tim .

What all are you guys deleting in the tune? I have:
DOD/AFM disabled.
VATs disabled.
Down stream O2s
I assume I need to disable TCS, which I believe is traction control?
What else should I do? Just delete everything that's causing a DTC? I am running the evap stuff so don't wanna delete that.

Has anybody used the Holley Sniper Fuel cell fuel pump on their conversion? I wanted to keep the cell and was looking at their pumps but not sure and don’t seem to have much info on people that have done the swap this way. I know most run the ZL1 fuel pump, and something like the ricks tank, wanted to keep my fuel safe cell since its countersunk into the truck and hold 20 gallons and will also fit between the minitubs. Plus let’s face it, cost..... just changing to the sniper pump looks like a very cost efficient way to do it
thoughts? Ideas? Good/bad?

Has anyone hooked up a/c with their Gen 5? I have a Restomod Air unit and a Sanden SD709 compressor and I'm trying to figure out how to get the ECM idle up to work as well as my PWM fan to come on. This is the wiring schematic that comes with it:
Thanks,
Sean

I too think the OE tank would by far be the way to go, so if you don't have a vehicle that Ricks Tanks makes a tank for, you're kind of SOL, This seems to me to be the sticking point with the LT swap. Muscle car guys have some options, everyone else doesn't, so you're stuck using a non vehicle specific fuel cell, or cutting up your tank.
but in general, thread bump for more Gen V swap info, since the parts available for Gen V swaps has exponentially increased since this thread was started.

Jeep L86 Swap
Hello everyone. I’m a newbie to the site. I have a 2001 Jeep Cherokee that I originally was building a turbo stroker 4.6 Jeep motor, until a good friend gave me a Gen V 6.2 engine from a 2015 Yukon. I am still in the fabrication stage, swapping axles and various other things. I plan to mate a 4L80e/NP241 combo since I have one on hand. The NP241 already has a slip yoke eliminator, and the combo will work out perfectly length wise and fits in the tunnel with no issues. Since I am a virgin to LT swaps, I was hoping for some helpful hints and tips.
I’m to the point that I’m ready to start gathering parts for wiring, PCM, and other needed items. I would really like to go the factory PCM route rather than use the Holley system. I do understand that I will need to run a stand-alone for the 4L80.
is there any suggestions for harness and pcm for a swap like this? I was thinking maybe a 6.2 Gen V manual PCM? Is there any other things that I will need for fuel feed, gas pedal (drive by wire) or fan and or gauges?
I see numerous LT swaps in vehicles, but they seem to use 6L, 8L, & 10L transmissions. I am assuming that a large majority of them a total vehicle takeouts. Any information anyone could give me will be VERY appreciated! I hope this isn’t something that has already been beaten into the ground, but just haven’t found the answers in any other forums.

L83 + 6L80e
Hi, I have a 2017 L83 + 6L80e to be installed on a 1987 Chevy chevette 4 door, and I'm on the fuel setup part. I got a MU2101 fuel pump but I'm leaning towards a standard LS style fixed 57-60psi system with corvette fuel filter regulator and a return line. I've read that If I run a PWM capable pump on constant 12V it will not work well and will last a lot less. Anyone has tried anything similar configuration?
I have an L33 swapped 1998 C1500 truck with fuel/filter regulator setup running from 1 year ago without problems.

Thanks for the response lsnova71. Forgot to mention I logged line pressure when I was hooked up to it and gear selection. i noticed it jumping around and at zero for a min, told the guy who installed it or seemed like le on fluid. Low and behold he called me this mooring and yes 5 quarts lie and now it works. Thanks
