Default 5.3 lm7 build

I've got a 1985 s10 blazer 2 dr, and it already been swapped once to a tbi 4.3 and I'm really wanting to do the 5.3 swap, I have the engine. Trying to get a harness and pcm as of now, I'm gonna be using the 700r4 trans and I'd be nice to get some tips on what to do with fuel system, possible help with diy standalone harness, and just general stuff thanks in advance

That's her

www.lt1swap.com for Harness info. Everything you need to convert a stock truck harness to stand-alone is there.

You'll need a fuel pump/regulator swap.

What's the best choice in fuel pump, I was looking at a high pressure 190 and 255lph is that to much? Or not enough?

Might as well go with the high pressure.
You'll also need a regulator since the LS engines run at 58 PSI of fuel pressure.

Going to have to follow along with this one. I have a serious soft spot for those trucks. I have had 3 just like it. All black, 2 door, 2wd. Can't wait to see how this one turns out

Depends. If you run a stock truck intake with return style rails, then use the regulator mounted on the rails, it works great.

Otherwise, the corvette regulator also works as a filter, and has the return built into it so you can just run a line right back into the tank.

Thanks, I'll keep this updated as much as possible... I'll be running the truck intake, what one is a better choice the 700r4 (my truck has) and 4l60e? And why?

Just run the 700r4.
The 60e is a great trans and works very well with the stock PCM, but its basically just an electronic version of what you already have.

I run a 700r4 in my 68 truck. I have had very good results with it. BUT, you will need a TV cable and bracket for that cable. GMoverdrives.com has the cable and bracket as a
kit. In my opinion, it is a little pricey, but it works and is the only kit that I have been able to find for this application. You cannot use this trans with a DBW throttle body and have any trans longevity. The 700 MUST have a TV cable to live properly. Please read LIVE PROPERLY.
But get a converter to match the engine and have fun. I love these cars also.

We usually drill a hole in the throttle cam, put a bolt in it and attach the TV cable. Works pretty good.

A 4L60e is a damn good trans, but it'll have to be wired in and tuned.
