Dcd, good eye! Thanks you save me a headache! I had it bassakward! I flipped it around so i should be ok. It also lowered the inlet hose a bit so it helped there to.

Fiero, thanks for the link i will look it over. Btw what wire did you hook the ls tack wire to on the 996 crank sensor? I have been told that it is the white wire on the 996 but mine does not have a white one????

One more tip -you might want to use after market fuel rails .I have a bad injector and it's going to be a major hassle to replace .I think with the after market rails it would be fairly easy .Perhaps Fierofly or 4 lux could chime in .

I used the BBK fuel rails cause the crossover was too close for comfort to the upper firewall, good thoughts on the fuel injectors also.

Thanks Fiero, here are my 996 cs wires, none of witch show up my Bently manual. The brown I know is ground so I am going to have to do some testing to figure out the other two. The white stripe could be it, just have to get out the meter!

No cash in the budget for new rails after buying my harness and ecu so they will have to wait. Worst case just remove the main mounts from the heads and let the engine down a bit should be enough room to remove the rails.

Your cooling is a little different then the way I did mine, Is your water pump pulling water from or pressurizing the engine? Mine is Pressurizing with the thermostat 180deg on the other side with a small 1/8 hole in it. Mine very seldom gets 210, even in 100deg weather.

DCD,Thanks!

Fiero, mine should be. Your c4 routes water different than my c2. The water pump is pushing to the front of the car. The bottom fittings going in the block are cool and out to the therm is hot.
I will double check everything when i start filling it with water.

Subbed and brilliant approach on the motor mounts, I will be doing something similar. What thickness of aluminum are you using and how did you cut? I plan on using my handy die-grinder but don't think it will look so pretty but will get the job done.

Thanks Shanghai! It is 3/8 6061, the guy i get it from has a band saw and he cut it by my pattern. I just sanded the edges with 4.5" flap disc.

Ok my harness is almost in, i flipped the stock ecu to the top of its mount and put the ls ecu under it.

I had to put the big fuse box inside the driver panel it is way to big.

Then i needed to make a access hole so i trimmed the panel and made it latchable.

I also put my pedal and dlc cables under the carpet to run inside the console.
