Default How to remove the upper water neck????

I have googled it, no solid answers. What is the best way to remove one, and where can I find a new one? I will be boring out the boss on the front of the water pump.

Thanks.

A Little heat and twisting as you pull, is how I have removed them.

Will I got it, and machined the front boss. Kind of screwed up the tube, will have to machine a plug, and a new tube.

Thanks.

This has been along time coming, and still along road to go. Just happy to finally have an LSx. Just trying to get the stuff I know needs done while I still have access to the shop's equipment. Also so working on my alternator bracket setup.

Thanks.

Looking foward to that. Be sure and keep notes on your measurements for the alternator bracket.

Do you realize you could have purchased an LS1 water pump and .75" spacers to achieve the same thing? Unless you needed the mechanical fan boss.

Yes, but at what price? This was free for me, just my time, I have more time then money right now. And I wanted to use as much of the truck parts as possible.

Thanks.

I respect that. I'm not trying to spend your money. Look at my builds, we're on the same budget. I make most stuff so I can afford to buy what I can't make.

Too many people in this hobby go crazy buying parts they could easily recycle or make and run out of money for things they really need.

Amen to that bother! Some of these builds on here make me embarrassed to post much of anything. My build is going to be a down and dirty, back alley, what the face build. Parts from pick and pull, and whatever I have laying around.

Thanks.

Same problem, different solution. I put the truck pulley on the LS1 water pump (I needed the mechanical fan and truck spacing.
BTW, I did play with moving the fitting to the front, but messed it up.
