Hey all!
I have a 1995 Z28 with factory LT1 127K, and recently came across an LS2 a co-worker is selling but I am in question as to what I will need to swap out to facilitate this.
I am hearing I will need to change the rack & pinion, intermediate steering shaft, fuel pump, use an LS1 K-member. Could anyone else steer me into a right parts list? Many thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Travis

I saved theses threads when I was debating it. Ended up doing a heads and cam swap since I didnt want to rewire the car.

LSx is the next gen SBC after the LT1 (2nd gen) and is a better platform.....But
The transplant goes considerably beyond the engine into a LT1 car. If those additional obstacles (engine harness, mount, PCM, fuel mgt, transmission, etc) are within your skill set to swap over a stock LSX vs a stock LT1 will make more power
With that said a 127k mi LT1 is mid life for engine wear so a H/C and new bearings will make the same kind of power a stock LS2 will for considerably less $ and work
