Good news! I think I have the overheating thing nailed... ran it for 25min, stationary with fans in and it didn’t get over 200. When it got close, a tap on the throttle brought it back to 188ish... makes me think a helper pump might be good- problem for another day...
the real issue is the mud that’s coming out of the steam pipe... I have tried to flush, pushing the steam pipe to the ground while running water only and keeping the tank full, just flushing and that helped some....
is there a better way to flush that area? I have the rear ones blocked off and I’m wondering if I should add those back into the line to make flushing easier... what about citrus flush to get the rust out like MB uses?
Right when the Tstat opens, the whole system gets contaminated- flushes numerous times so far.

its not oil- not slick at all and it has particulate pretty clearly.

any advice other than just keep running and venting out of the system?

thanks for the help everyone!!!
