Im pretty sure I can share the output and have the VSS feed both the 0411 ECU and the EEC-V Ford PCM, then the Ford PCM will report over the CAN to the gauges for me. Im pretty sure a lot of the Megasquirt guys piggyback sensor outputs. Can anyone confirm? this is my first time running a car with two PCMs
I just pulled up HPTuners, The above info is not correct. VSS P/Rev-Trans is 40.0000 in the stock tune. Not 17, my speedo is reading twice as fast as the scanner display. If I find a solution I will let you know.

Now there slight wiring pinout differences with the 1994-1997 to the 1998.
You said this in another thread, Yes it uses CANBUS.. did you figure out how to trick the factory PCM into outputting a tach signal? Id be interested in getting cruise control working as well, My car has a ABS delete.. I may or may not put ABS back into the car.

Heres what I did today..

Found a weird issue, the gauge cluster only communicates with the PCM if I have my scanner plugged into the Ford OBD2 port, With the scanner disconnected the theft light flashes and the odometer reads "-----------"

Pretty sure the guy told me the car had "about 100k miles on it when he did the swap" sure guy... sure..

Stuff removed from the Ford harness.

Jump rope anyone?

This was the starter exciter..

Ford harness nearly done, few more odd ends to clean up.

I need to decide if I want to put ABS back in the car or not so I can delete that bulk head or move it. Trying to figure out how to make the tach work, and where I want to mount the CCRM, Swap relays and such.

So cool. Shows the absolute overwhelming nature of a swap with wiring. Everyone thinks a swap is so easy until they see what they have to sort in wiring. Very nice work Will Robinson

Today I got the Ford harness back into place, Went ahead and pulled the driver Fender off to relocate the Fuse box.

As if I didn't have enough wiring to deal with, some old alarm horn sitting here..

Pulled the Battery and tray.

Complete Ford Engine harness removed

So much less clutter

I also figured out why my gauge cluster wouldn't work, was a ground cut on the CCRM. Tomorrow I need to get some more supplies then I can start re-routing and re-assembling everything.

just get a 3 wire standalone harness.. And you dont have to worry to much.
i get it with a HP tuners tune for 350$ all modified etc.

the gauges dont work with carb neither.

So it seems I need to weld a Ford Crank trigger onto my HUB and build ab racket for the Ford Crank pickup to get my tach to work.

I started routing my Ford harness today, Loom and a few little things and that will be done, Also reinstalled the EEC-V PCM. Tomorrow I need to run the Crank Trigger wires back out to the engine bay from the EEC-V PCM in anticipation of that project.

Iv also decided Im not going to use my Vortech supercharger on this, My end game is going to be the complete 03-04 Cobra Body kit and a LSA blower ontop of the motor. Im hoping by this weekend ill wrap up the wiring on the Ford end and most of the Chevy. I was going to store the Chevy Relays by the CCRM but changed my mind, and most likely will need to extend the Chevy harness for the 0411 to sit somewhere hidden.

Why not just use the 94-98 cluster?

Thanks.

I made that decision today, I wanted to use my original cluster but two reasons im just going to switch are.. I found a reverse glow kit for the 94-98 cluster and two its less wires in and around the engine.

So im gona get a 94-98 cluster, set the mileage to what my car has and run with it.

I ordered my battery relocation kit today and got the fuse box mounted, starting to reach a down hill slope on wiring. Hope to have some significant progress over the weekend!

Battery relocation kit showed up today, I got the Fuse box tacked in place with the flux Need to get gas for my Mig. Stripped all the EEC-V and CCRM wiring out. Only a few wires from the Ford harness on the passenger side but it looks a mess for testing so I didnt snap a pic.

So much less clutter on both sides, I started wiring up my relays for the fans, 0411 and fuel pump.. Hoping to have it running again this weekend.

Got some Loom on the front of the car, still need to attach it to the rebar.

My Spoiler iv been working on when work is slow.. 3rd brake light delete, first wipe.

This is all the wiring that goes along the passenger fender now, relays are for my fans.

Tool guy sold me a used impact for $30 today so reassembling the Front clip will go faster

This chaos is what im wrapping up tomorrow, powered up the 0411 today. Going to mount the 0411 where the EEC-V was after im doing cleaning it all up.

Getting close to being able to start it again

Today I re-wired the Ford OBD2 port to the 0411 PCM, Played with the battery relocation kit.. I don't really like it.. May send it back or something, The box is to big.

I also ran power to the fuel pump and started the car today just to hear it run and check the OBD2 port.

Ordered a 98 Gauge cluster off eBay.

Should be able to drive it this weekend.

Well I made a mistake I cut my blinker out of the harness Backtracked and re-wired that today. I had to run a few temporary wires until I get the battery back in the Trunk, the box I got with the kit is way to big. I need a smaller box or to return it.. Not sure!

Took an idle video while I was testing the blinker.
