Default BMW + 427ci 7.0l + full-on build

Greetings to my post - I'm sharing largely because I chose to be an early adopter of a new product specific to Making an LS live.

I purchased the first #70013 Kit from Jegs last Thurs... I received it 1.5 days later - out of box 10min after I saw box on porch - two hours later the Intake Manifold had all sensors, throttle body, Inj / Fuel Rail Etc. I weighed each Component because others may care to know such details.

This would be the very first time I've allowed myself to be an early adopter of new Tech of any kind.

The kit is already sitting on engine along with full wiring harness laying where necessary to get to the Plug part of the Play!

Fresh LS2-based bottom end.
Fresh LS3/based heads.
Pat G custom cam
Etc
(THIS MOTOR DESCRIBED ABOVE IS NOW DEAD-Jan’18-AND IS NOW THE 7.0l as described in Title Name Change)

BMW road race chassis, Full new build

The chassis / suspension / brakes/ et al are ready for this car to start. The decision to go FiTech was NOT an easy one as 'tried and true' has inherently less risk. Anyway, on to pics for your enjoyment and/or amusement!!!

What are your thoughts of the intake manifold? Does it look like a rebaged Holley Sniper manifold?

As for thoughts on Manifold, I have been all over this FiTech version trying to find indicators of similarity to other sheeetmetal intakes... and TB too... I'm not finding telltale details yet.

That said, I've got no problem taking investigative pics to share so we can figure it out as a whole - the closest pairing so far is the from The sheet metal Intake from where TSP compared against LS3, Fast, etc on their own test, like this one (but LS3 version)

Look at this on eBay:

I'm right behind you. Had a customer come in for some Ls swap clean up on his impala and I brought up this kit due to his budget. Ours should be here Monday.

Default Possible FiTech throttle body match

'New' throttle body from large online retailer sure looks much like my FiTech unit:

Jegs

I'll get pics up in a bit

Default No additional software in box

There was only hardware in Ultimate LS box / packaging.

I've been on pause to continue with install due to decision to add more go faster/better/safer parts on/in engine - and those parts will all be here by tomorrow... which could lead to a solid weekend effort to make real progress - which leads to a better update!

As for software, I'll certainly be figuring out what's what and then sharing!

Default And needed New TSP Steel Roller Rockers / Pushrods Measure etc

Yes, I'm using the Comp Cam PR Adj tool... and I've got two sets of PR in 2 different lengths - the shorter of the two Pushrods which TSP recommended appear to just be too short - and my longer ones appear to be just too long (based on number of turns issue with rocker bolt. The wipe pattern on top of valve appears to be 'okay' with either PR... so deciding on that factor alone is proving insufficient.

Default The band is back together

Halo shot
Clean, all turns over nicely with Apr crank bolt being rotated.
Different details here and there
Just a wrap but adds to the overall effort
This look is.... not bad / at all!
Beefy
Welp that'll easily fit under hood. I'm not concerned with loosing torque with this type of intake Manifold... vehicle is 2500lbs. I'll still get 400rwtq and may get to 500rwhp... making the overall combo slightly greater than 5:1 hp/wt from the crank.
Progressive... impressive to look at and day dream how it performs - it's much closer, but still to go:
3 fuel run
wiring
throttle linkage
battery
vacuum lines
pwr steering
etc

Default The learning curve

My daughter, 6yrs old this coming Tuesday, is heir to the driver's seat - as she's worked thru push scooter, e-scooter, bike w/out training wheels (years back), and negotiates obstacles (cones, bumps, cracks, brother) consistent with someone that actually is getting ready to drive this car. Daddy has a M Powered version of this car already... that'll be the 'training wheels again' when the time is right (dunno, 10yrs old too early?)..! Sissy already has a car that she's been restoring / modifying with Daddy... vision, creation, smart efforting, teamwork, more - all healthfully developed in a car build
