Default Adapter - Does is exist?

I'd like to use an ICT Billet 551533 or LSx Innovations OAL22 for two pressure senders. One of the senders is metric, so I'm trying to find an adapter that is 1/8" NPT male to M12x1.5 female. Basically, the exact opposite of the Autometer 2277. I wouldn't this think this would be so hard to find but my search has come up empty. It appears to be unobtanium.

If I can't find it, I don't think there is enough material to drill-out one 1/8" NPT and tap it to M12x1.5. As best I can tell, 1/8" NPT requires an 11/32" drill bit while a M12x1.5 requires 10.7mm, which is equivalent to 27/64".

The metric hole is only 5/64" of an inch larger...just under 2mm. I don't think that's enough to drill and tap?

Why do you want two oil pressure sensors?

I don't. I want three I'm keeping the stock LS2 sender that's behind the manifold so I can read pressure on an AeroForce scan gauge I'm going to use.

The other two senders are for a standalone aftermarket oil pressure gauge and the stock instrument cluster "idiot" light.

Search on Ebay, although the material is aluminum, not brass.

I searched. This is the only thing I could find. I'm not sure it's what I need, though. It says "hose end."

I would lose the idiot light.

The 2277 fitting with a 1/8 npt nipple and a m12x1.5 coupling would
accomplish the task.

hey also have this for the one behind the intake. If you don't want to spend the money you could try to make one with a T yourself.

All of those fittings increase the likelihood of a leak. And it also raises the sender to where it could possibly be too close to the header. I'd like to find a straight adapter, if possible.

I actually have that sitting here on my desk. It's just very tight behind the engine to the firewall.

I'd prefer to find a solution that would allow me to keep a single sender up top and two down at the oil pan.

What size are the senders for the idiot light and gauge(what brand?) respectively? Any reason why they can't both be 1/8?

The idiot light sender is M12x1.5. It's the OE BMW sender. The brand is FAE. I have no idea how I'd source a 1/8" NPT sender that would be compatiable with the stock BMW idiot light.

The 1/8" NPT sender came with the Prosport oil pressure gauge.

If it is just a simple light circuit,(fat chance of that on a BMW,the brakes, sunroof and door locks probably won't work without it,or even something more ridiculous) just about any GM early seventies sender should be able to short it to to ground at low or no oil pressure, but I should know better, nothing is ever that simple on those cars.

I have three senders on mine, two pressure senders at the back of the valley cover (extra one tapped in to the side of the riser for the OE oil sender. The third sender is oil temp, and is connected down by the oil filter, on a boss for my Improved Racing oil cooling system.

I put my oil temp sender in the pan where the factory quantity(?) sender was located.

See here: http://www.improvedracing.com/oil-ac...nes-p-339.html

This gives you two 1/8" NPT ports and one M12 port, just choose the M12 adapter fitting option.

The reason an adapter is hard to find is because M12 is larger than 1/8" NPT, so the adapter will add a lot of length to the port.

A little spendy but looks like is should do the trick. Thanks for posting.

Just not sure how well it would work having one of the fittings sticking out horizontally, with regard to header clearance. I guess I'll have to get the engine and header back in the car again before choosing which adapter to use.
