best rear diff ratio

Hi. I have a 1971 Cutlass S that I dropprd a 350chev 300 hp in. Th400 with shift kit.I want it to light the tires up.{childish i know}.can you guide me thsat way?thx Jeff

4.11 will do what you want...at the expense of other things...

Final drive ratio is directly effected by tire size as well. As stated 4.10/4.11 will work great as long as you've got a normal sized tire on the car.

Another method for the fun factor is a looser torque converter.

Toss the 350 and put a 6.0l in it.
