Last night I was ordering exhaust parts from Summit - tubing, mufflers, crossover, clamps, etc. I had over $600 in the cart and started thinking about how long it would take to cut and fit and weld everything, and I realized duh, stick to the original plan, which is to reuse the original exhaust, which is just two pieces of straight pipe and two mufflers that come off the headers and are hung under the car with the exit in front of the rear axle. Cheaper and easier. After the car is running and driving and I'm enjoying it, then I can do a fancy exhaust.

but remember.... the entire HotRod lifestyle was born of broke men who created their own culture out of everyone elses 'worthless old garbage' cars. So for those without? You make due with what you have and for those who have? You buy from those who learned how to build without. Its a circle and it spins round and round and round and suddenly i am seeing that old guy in Jerry Maguirre saying those quotables, ahh heck see for yourself
