Another update:
Dropped the 6.0 in for a test for/Mockup, so much room it's unreal. Pulled back out to start cleaning and degreasing.
Ordered Ls7 clutch, pp, and flywheel. Picked up the 02 F Body radiator and fans for $40 yesterday.
Wheels showed up, these things are slick!
Questions, does anyone have an alternative to the Mcleod CMC... cant see spending 500 bucks for one.

Speed Engineering headers finally came in, going to try and fit them with the factory rag joint for the steering linkage. They seem to be in general a really nice piece for the money. Nice welds and have the o2 bungs unlike the dynomax headers.
Driving back from ST. Louis currently with clutch pedals and T56 driveshaft from a 03 Cobra.
Think I'm going to start working on the wiring harness this week after I clean up the garage a little bit. I bought 12 4' dual LED Shop lights that I need to install first to give me some better lighting than what my builder put.

Well things are progressing slowly, I welded in the new core support this weekend. First time welding and doing any kind of body work really. My welds look garbage but they will hold fine. I have a flapper wheel and some primer then i will gut the engine bay, take off the front K-member and repaint the whole engine bay. I am only missing the passenger side fender and a bumper before i an assemble the car together.
Here is the practice welds I did with gas.
Installed the clutch pedals, may go to the junkyard and pick the ones off another car i found. The previous owner of the ones I installed did a **** poor job and JB Welded the pads on... They are crooked and it will drive me insane with the pedals not being symmetrical.
For those who are doing this swap i talked to McLeod directly and they suggested i go with McLeod Part #14-330-01, it is a new edge specific master cylinder with the GM Qwik disconnects on the braided line for the GM Slave. Cheapest I have found is on Tick Performance for $469 Shipped.
Ordering the following after Christmas season is over so that i can drop the motor in place.
- Maximum Motorsports MMST14 Solid Steering Shaft (Rag Joint wont clear Long tubes)
- Loklar TC-1000LSU 36" Throttle Cable w/ the mounting bracket for the LS* intake.
- GM Slave cylinder
- Tick Performance Remote Speed Bleeder
Think ill start working on the Standalone harness this weekend in my freetime. Have 2 work function Christmas parties for both my Girlfriend and I so this weekend will be busy.
Oh and here are my gauges mocked up, leaving the third empty till I decide if I want fuel pressure or AFR

Got them engine bay stripped down last night, ground the welds that will be visible down. Plan on painting it either this weekend or probably after Christmas.
Should I do black or go factory silver?

Good question! I have always gone for a semi-gloss black under the hood, as it shows the pieces off a little better. But if it's important to keep a factory look(and I can totally see that too...) then do the silver.

I think either color will look good but color matching with silver will look the best.
Forgot to tell you, if you need a crash bar and the foam bumper support your more then welcome to have mine. I’m going to run the team z tubular crash bar

I just picked up a silver crash bar and foam last weekend from the pull a part in Louisville.

I got a question, have you seen how far back the T56 shifter sits in the trans tunnel in comparison to the OEM MT?
Either way, do you plan on using the stock location, or moving it rearward slightly?
