I would try to move intake tube so it gets air outside engine compartment. The cooler the better. When I first built mine, so
me times it was really fast, other times it was a dog. Finally figured out it was high intake temps, pulling lots of timing and adding fuel.

Fitment looks great and I agree with jimmyg on getting cooler air to the filter. It would even be worth the effort if you had to move the tank and replumb the air inlet to the driver side. What Hx are you running? I don’t see one in any of the pics...?

Runnng a C&R dual pass HX. I will likely be fabbing a cold air intake box where the battery currently sits. I don’t want to replumb the entire hx pump and deal with finding more radiator hoses to fit. Air intake temps are already very low with the C&R but its only been in the 70’s out also.
