Really like what you did on the ‘54. Did you have the car tuned or just go with the computer flashed? How’s the OD trans working with the 2.73 rear? Could imagine really low cruising RPMs.

Just flashed the PCM for the proper Gear Ratio. RPM at cruise 65mph was like 1800 I think, honestly cant remember I've sold the car over a year ago. It was a joy to drive and averaged around 24mpg.

Yes, truck pan worked. The Steering is VERY close to the pan when fully turned(1/2" clearance), so before you weld up your motor mounts to the frame make sure your motor is set back far enough to clear when turning both ways!

Nice job. I’d suggest looking into FatMan Fab for front end/brake/steering. It would make a huge drivability improvement unless the old front end doesn’t bother you. I see nothing wrong with that car as it is. Good conversion.

where did u get the ecu and tcu reflashed? Did you use the original harness. What did u do for gauges? I am building the same ride. Have had the car 17 years. Just got a 5.3 truck motor with 4l60e. What did u use for a drive shaft? Your thread has been an awesome help. Cant thank you enough.
