mech oil pressure gauge hook up hey rebelbayou you can do it either way, I took the original sensor and cut the top off which exposed the guts which I discarded then tap the hole for 1/8" npt
as for the plate above the filter I drilled and tapped that for my oil temp sensor.
I know Auto Meter makes a metric fitting for the oil pressure fitting hole behind the intake. I thing someone even makes an adapter for above the filter that is tapped 1/8" NPT they were a little costly though.

Thanks for the reply. That is exactly what I did. I used an adapter to fit the hole where the sensor went and ran a copper tube inside to a new oil pressure gauge. Upon startup I had 70 lbs. of oil pressure at idle. I'm thrilled. Before the new oil pump, lifters, push rods, cam and o-ring tube, I had 15-20 lbs. at idle.

Interested in this as well, I am between a 255 pump and a Aeromotive 340. Key difference would be the return set up on the 340 pump, but would also support a lot more power.
However I have heard a lot of negative input about the 340 pump in the stock tank, and fuel starvation issues under WOT.
The 255 pump and no return, is a simple and effective setup, that when connected to the return less corvette filter/regulator, make for a no hassle, and easy to troubleshoot (if needed) system.
I am still not sure which one to go with....

I received my Holley 12-300 fuel pump on a stick yesterday and installed it in my gas tank. Did it just like the video on the Holley site. Easy peasy. Used my original hard line that was already on the car. Wired the relay in and KAPOW it fired up on the first try. Granted, I haven't driven my car yet as that was the first time I started the motor. But I am well satisfied with the product and Holley in general. It shipped to me in 3 days and was super easy to install. I hope to drive my car within the week and I'll post some more. I need to rig up an oil pressure gauge and I just can't seem to understand how I do that. I've read all the posts I can consume without being overwhelmed and still don't know if I need to drill the plate by the oil filter or screw something into the oil pressure sender hole behind the intake. My original gauge had a nylon line running to the block on the old carbed 350. They are 1967 camaro original console gauges and have no electrical tab on the back, only a place for the oil line to hook up.

Called Holley today New guy here. I talked to tech support and an engineer at holley today about installing a larger pump on this system. They said it can handle their 12-928 pump which is 400lph, but I had to buy that separate.
