Default info on F body manifolds to S10

some time back I saw a pic or 2 of the 4th gen F body manifolds being used
in an S10. clearance was gained by machining off the bolt flanges and making a v groove for band clamp.
Now the only thing I can find is a pic of someone that cut the entire flange off and welded an extension to it.
Anyone know of the first approach mentioned?

post 21 has a pic and some welding detail in others. Not sure how you're going to v-groove the end of a stock flange, but if the material is there and you can machine it...

for some reason I was thinking that the v band was machined out of the extra material
that was the flange. but welding a V band stub on looks like it works too.
