Default LS 7 heads LQ9 block

have a set of ls7 heads and an 6.0 iron motor out of one of my 2500’s. Question is can I install these heads on this block. And if so can anyone recommend a good streetable Cam for the setup. Also I stil have an LS7 carbureted intake and MSD control kit but it’s for the 58 relucter wheel crank. Anyway to make it work? Just have some parts laying around that I want to get some use out of. Thanks

I don't think so. GM put them on a GMMP 4.065" bore on a COPO engine. Might look into this motor to see if they decreased the exh. valve dia. to clear. Bore the block .065". Sonic check the block.

You'd have to investigate this combo more.

sell the ls7 and get ls3/l92 setup. those are waaaaay too big for a 370 - the big valves (2.20" intake / 1.61" exhaust) and intake port (270cc) will ensure lackluster performance down low, and won't be much advantage over ls3/92 in the higher revs.
