My stockish 305 monte carlo got totalled recently so Im looking for a new fun dd.
Ran across a ls1 2002 tahoe in a gbody cutlass.
guy described as "originally a 260 v8 with only 85000 miles now it has a stock 5.3 with a 4l60e transmission with 127k miles on them it runs great and has plenty of power it has cold ac"
Its a long drive and the guy isnt very helpful. I tried to get a video but the guy says he has a million people asking for things, come check it out. He wasnt rude and his logic for declining did to some extent make sense.
Im a little torn between thinking I should pass since hes not accomdating and thinking it looks nice.
Any opinions on how it looks superficially? Im admittedly not very knowledgable about ls engines or fuel injected engines.

That is the nature of the truck engine harness. Most of it runs over the top of the manifold. It likely is the way it's supposed to be, as ugly as it is.
No way to tell about the quality of the swap with a reluctant phone description and one picture. Any time the seller is reluctant to provide information, I usually look elsewhere.

I typically take that stance but could empathize with him. I got a guy from a gbody forum looking at it for me whos nearby. Otherwise Im not wasting my time and gas.
Don’t empathize with anyone, he is not your friend or family, ITS BUSINESS AND MONEY, if they don’t have the time to answer questions, something is not right. He is selling a car, and those cars and deals are out there by the dozens, he doesn’t have the last one in existence.
It may be the deal of the year, but probably not.
Plus it never fails as soon as you buy this one 3-4 will pop up at better prices and condition and closer to you. Be patient unless you won the lottery and have money coming out of (you know where)
ive been on both sides of this. i hate buying things where theres not enough info given. but i also understand the frustration of dealing with scams on craigslist where some people just want to waste your time. and it can be hard to decipher whos really interested and whos not. he doesnt have a lot of info in his description to go by. hard to say if its worth looking at or not.
but usually if im buying something i will stray away from a seller who doesnt have time to answer questions. hope all works out.
