Don't forget to sub to my youtube, ill have a video up soon of all the progress. Also my instagram gets updated in real time! (sort of)

Little update! Main subframe is built (just tacked together) and I still need to close out the ends and final weld. Accessory bracket is built and fits. I will also be adding a bracket to the back of the WP that braces to the block triangulating that area. Also added some bracing to the chassis and will be adding to that once I do the tin work to close out the firewall.

Next up this weekend will be finishing the transaxle mount, all of the cross bracing required for the subframe and so on. Will also be hopefully roughing in the turbo mounting.

Plugging away at it. I have the major fuel system parts ordered, body kit ordered and I also test mounted the tillet carbon seat. Things are going way smoother than expected. As soon as I have the transaxle mounts done I will order CV axles.

The only real thing I have decided on is the ECU. I may look into sniffing the Holley canbus as that would get me 90% of the way to what I want.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversio...cu-choice.html

Pictars: (Ignore the random mounting hardware as I used what I had laying around.. need to order the right sized stuff.

More progress. Reminder to follow my instagram for more up to date stuff!

Lower cross member support is done. I changed the load paths to open up more room for exhaust and turbos. Ill be walking through that in a video in a few days.

Also show the bracing on the transaxle mount.

Here is the company:

Note that I bought directly from them w/o a distro. Looking back I would have been willing to pay a small premium not to deal with buying and importing it :-x

You should think about making a jig and selling this mounting setup and accessory drive if you prove it works out well..... I've heard the main company that sells kits.... could use some improvement/forward thinking on their design

Good to see continued progress!

I doubt I could make enough money (sell enough) to justify the costs of proper jigging. For the right price I would consider selling the parts off my car and just building a new setup directly on the car. second time would be a lot faster

Great videos and work! Nice to see some more overly-nerdy engineering thought

If you watch the 1 frame per sec video you will see several spots where I stand motionless for a little bit. Lots standing around, staring and thinking to get 4 tubes placed :-p

Not your normal engine swap .Video was very good .I think you should do a cage and race it - With the horsepower you are planning it's just a big shifter cart

Thanks dcd. Not real desire to race the car. I am fortunate enough to have a factory ride in Shifter Karts and get to drive race cars on a semi regular basis. 1) cost 2) no competitive amateur classes at the higher power levels because of.. #1

Can't have a race if there are no competitors -so chalk this one up to a bad idea

Where did you get the engine to transmission adapter? Care to share any photos and details of what parts were used?

I bought it from Race Car Replicas. Its a simple plate. one of those things that wasn't worth doing myself, and since I knew it was "right" i could trust the gearbox/motor alignment and plow ahead.

Lots has happened, hopefully you have wasted some time on my IG ;-D

Car goes to paint/body this weekend so its torn back down. A friend of mine is going to shoot it (he is a bad ***) so i decided to farm it out. I did build the rear inlet for the IC though! Some pics of progress. Unfortunately it looks like I can't embed IG, so ill just post a few.

My doggo hasn't been real happy with me coming home from work and spending every waking moment in the garage

Finished long block. Now working on wiring and plumbing. Goal is to have everything I can part of the motor assy so I can drop the whole package.

Using a Tyco hermetically sealed connector to accomplish a single point for all engine wiring (including starter, alt, etc)

more to come..
