Default L99 swap budget fuel tank

I came across an old post about retrofitting a 94 caprice/impala fuel tank into a 69 camaro its a 22gal tank and all that is needed is to update the fuel pump. Just wondering if anyone has any input the junk yard has 40% off coming up.

a-body but gives you an idea what might be involved

i'd say they were used mostly for the reason that back then there weren't alot of good efi tank options. i'm sure cost is probably a factor but if you already have a good tank, you might want to check out holley's hydramat pickup. it has worked well for me so far and i think they even have a few drop in modules/sending units for stock tanks now

I used a Tanks Inc. tank. I'm pretty satisfied with it, unless I'm at WOT with a half a tank and my turbo starts pulling really hard.
For a cruiser and most mid-performance driving, you should be good. I'm working on a mod to prevent fuel slosh in the future.
You may be able to find a really good deal in their scratch and dent section for your car, as it is quite common.

This post is similar to the one i found the other guy installed it in a first gen camaro minor mods to the tank with the 40% off its like a $30 tank. My tanks is prob about 4yrs old my concern was no baffling in the tank and those caprice tanks have baffling and in tank pump plus vent and return line. All i woukd have to do is update the pump plus its 90ohms. Just spending 500 bucks on a tank is a bit steep and i want something reliable.
