Just a heads up, if you're running the e78 ecm make sure either your "starter enable relay control" wire from the ecm is either hooked to a ground or make sure your starter diagnostics are turned off in your tune. If not, your injectors will not pulse no matter what you do.

I did this exact same swap in my 87 v10. The 4x4 version. I also kept my saddle tanks. When I get back home I'm going to go through my wiring diagram and mark what all wires I removed from the ecm. I also reused the factory fuse box from the van I got it out of. I'll also take a look st the factory bulkhead for our trucks and try and get a pinout on those. I have everything working and the truck is driving but getting it tuned is a big headache.

The transmission is a 6l90 if it came with a l96 6.0. These have a 36 spline output shaft. I took mine out and had it cut it down and resplined, by moser engineering, it to a 32 spline input shaft on my np208. So, either you'll have to cut down and respline yours or just get a driveshaft for it.

For a pinout diagram look at gmupfitter.com . That's how I got my pinout.

Just got about 8-10 here this last week. I think that we missed the big stuff, thank God.

Nice. I'll look at your reference for the pinout. I think that I might do my own fuse box, just because it's easier for me to wire in new pumps by just adding a relay to what I have in mind. As far as driveshafts go, I think I might get a one piece from a 2500 silverado with the 6l90 and get it cut and have the 1350 ujoint socket get put at the rear end of the shaft. I got the parts and labor quoted at about 90$ plus the 75$ for the driveshaft itself rather than the 300$ plus for a custom shaft. I have the 2wd, so it's a little easier. No transfer case or extra driveshafts to worry about. It's actually a really good learning experience for my first project.

Just after a little bit of looking into the electrical diagrams on this site, I thank you good sir. These are fairly in-depth with their diagrams and if I have to rewire anything else from the factory of the van I'll be sure to give this another look through.

you got that right. I learned a ton from it. I have a 10 gauge power wire going to the back then splits off into 12 gauge to two relays. I then took the original power wire that went to the factory pump and use that to trip the relays to power the fuel pumps. It wasnt too bad of a setup. But I had to modify my sending unit to be able to handle the bigger wire going into it. The factory bulkhead at the sending unit, from what I've read, cant handle the increased amps too good.

Good to know. I think that I was going to ground it, but I don't remember right now where I actually put that wire. I think I fished it through the harness one day and put it aside, but I'll make sure to double check now that I know. Thank you!

No problem bud. Now wiring up the tcc I cannot remember exactly how I done this right now but its backwards from what you would think. I believe it grounds when the brake is pressed and I had to use a relay or something. I'll look at it some more when I get back home.
