As for modifying the k member, I had to flip the rack mounts from the top of the cross support, to the bottom, and I also moved the engine back as far as I could in the engine bay. Also, oddly enough, the 8l90 fit in the tunnel with 0 modifications. Not even 1 tap with the smallest hammer lol. I still have to get a driveshaft made, but that is pretty straight forward and simple. As of now, I am in the wiring phase, and have to finish modifying the headers. For now, I am just re flanging the ls fbody headers for now.

This puts to rest the idiots on here telling me an 6l80 wouldn't fit. I always asked how would a person know without trying? I'm glad the 8 speed fit like a glove

No way that oil pan isn’t going to get smashed. Definitely going to need a better solution for that imo.

If you haven't seen it yet, Holley makes the 302-20 LT swap pan that offers the same outer fitment profile as the Holley 302-2 and 302-3 LS swap oil pans for LT swaps.

This almost makes me want to buy a 3rd gen and get this engine/transmission combo.

Excellent work

So if the Gen V LT1 fit and looks like it fit well the LT4 could fit. Plus if what they've said about the 10 speed is the same size as the 8 speed that is what would be an awesome swap. Either LT4 with a bigger blower or a twin turbo setup. If you could get it to hook imagine how quick a 4th gen would be with LT4 with a TVS2650 and that 10 speed would be. Easily 8 seconds with all the amenities and 25+ mpg on the highway. I'd love the chance to build one when I get done with my other projects.

Just a quick update, I have been waiting to get the wiring harness back, which I just recieved a few a days ago. Took a few months to get done as I had to have a 2nd harness made for an lt/powerglide setup in an s10. Over the next few days I should be able to get the harness in to the car, wired in to the body harness and should be able to fire it. For exhaust I just modified ls fbody headers a little and welded on an lt flange.

Well, my thought behind the pan being so low, I was watching Days of Thunder, and when Harry built the race car for daytona, he purposely put the oil pan lower to cut the wind out from under the car. Cole won that race so I feel like it must of worked.

But on a real note, it looks like it is hanging low because of the tubular k memeber. If the factory k member was still there it would still be flush with the bottom of the k memeber.

Can’t wait to see this thing fire up! If the stock gauges work that’s a big plus!

OMG subbed!! Looking forward to a few things:

Steering
Fuel. I already have a Walbro pump.
Stock Gauge compatibility with the harness.

This and how I would get my T-56 mounted up to this, will I have to upgrade to a longer input shaft, and will the install change the driveshaft length.

If your swap is successful I would hope BMR fabricates a K-frame for 4th gens.

Wishing you massive amounts of good luck with this swap!!

Thoughts on a supercharger fitting under that cowl?

Edit: It appears an LT4 just might clear the cowl.

I 'm not out to hijack your thread, but can you point me to a resource for the pinouts for the 16 LT1 ECU?
I just bought a dry sump LT1 that I will be topped with an LT4 blower and backed by a TR6060.
I have figured out the PS pump problem, so that is out of the way.

If you have a 6.2 then you use the smaller pilot bearing and bolt things up (after you buy an 8 bolt clutch/flywheel for $$). If you have a 5.3 you need a bellhousing spacer and the larger pilot bearing. This is assuming LS style T-56. If early LT style then I dunno, I forgot the differences.

I have a 94 BorgWarner T56. I was told as long as you upgrade to a longer input shaft it bolts right up to the LSX bellhousing.

This?

I'm going to have to make an educated guess that there just isn't enough room in a 4th gen f-body engine bay for a dry sump system.
