would like to see an update as well.

@Rob94hawk. if you haven't figured it out yet...for your lt1 t56 to become a LSX based t56, you need three things:> 1) LS1 Bellhousing 2) ls1 mid plate 3) ls1 input shaft. Then you need the hydraulic throw out bearing and associated clutch.

Knew that a long time ago but is it the same for a 3rd gen LT1 swap?

Hey guys, sorry this thread sort of went dead. Had a rough couple years and ended up having to sell the drivetrain. But, good news, I have sourced a new engine to continue on with the swap, it just needs to be rebuilt so it will still be a bit before I have the lt1 in the car. It now has a forged 6.0 in it, th400, and 8.8 and plan on racing it for a year or until the 6.0 lets go. I will be building the lt in the mean time, but plan on doing a 400+ cubic inch motor built for boost. I will be making another thread for a customer car I have that will be in sema next year. It is a 3rd gen camaro, n/a gen v lt1, tr6060 car. Car is currrently headed to paint, but I will post updates of it also.

I'm currently planning to possibly swap either a Gen V LT1 or an LT4 and putting together a plan of action. Do you mind if I annoy you with general swap questions in this thread from time to time?

Hello I am currently doing a LT4/8L90 swap in a f body
was wondering if I could ask you a few questions as well it would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve just started the build and hope to have it done in 90-120 days the major problems I have is help and shops fabricators are all month + away

I have UMI k member #2320
not sure if I can use the same mounts

I’m still trying to stay power steering not sure if the rack will work.

I wanted to run holleys EFI system but after talking to them seems they don’t have a system for the 8L90 I was told to make a stand alone and just run HP tuners.

any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks and God bless

here is some pictures of what I have going on

This thread is dead and useless now that the op has stopped his conversion. Only good information on the first post lol. Maybe should start a new thread with some people who have actually completed this swap or near finishing it.

I hear a Volvo power steering pump would work. Any updates?
