Hindsight being what it is, I should have joined this forum before buying parts...

Long story short, I jumped on a 4l60e trans for my project and only realized afterwards that it is exactly the wrong one.

I bought a 4l60e and converter out of a C5 Vette.

I know now the trans won't work (be gentle, I'm an idiot), but can I hang on to the converter or will I need a different one for a "standard" 4l60e?

Not likely my last post here, so buckle up.. .

 

Sell what you got -- and buy an already matched up engine/tranny. Suspect you'll be much better off in the long run.
