The difference between 4 and 5 inches was significant. Stepping up to a 5inch is like adding a whole nother 3 inch to your 4 inch. The 4inch loud valves smallest cross section is 3.650 where the blade seals. Ended up having to weld over 25ft
I was able to do some back to back testing with the downpipe size. On the same tune-up boost pressure dropped 2 psi throughout the whole run and ran the same ET but on less boost and with a worse 60ft.
I love this car! I'm glad to see that you updated your post since I've seen it. Car is running really good! It reminds me a lot of my '98!
I try and keep my threads updated so I'll have records of all the things I've done. This car is super fun and I enjoy it a lot. Hopefully next time at the track it'll pick up some more ET
Designed and 3d printed some mounts for these lights to put under the hood and on the roll cage. Didn't plan on mounting any on the hood like I did but it turned out pretty good. Decide to pre paint some of the bard that weren't already installed in the car. Heating this up with a torch to melt holes in the carpet for seat bolts worked out perfectly.
Codions 8.50 cage fits really nice. As much as a hate cages in cars this car for sure has needed one. I already hate getting in and out of the car lol.
Made the switch to a mechman 240amp alternator and a ionic lithium battery. Was able to save a or 32 lbs on the battery and it's 1220 CA. Voltage stays above 13.6 at all times now.
Made a stator change, the old one was really tight and showing a 1100-1200 rpm drop on 22psi. Not sure when I'll be able to test this one, hopefully in the next month with some cooler weather.
