1997 Turbo LS sn95 Mustang
Picked up a new project to build. 97 V6 mustang. Been sitting for several years but the body is super straight. Going to be a pretty basic build. SBE LS, 4L80E, Holley terminator x, keeping AC. Order a team z k member kit as well as their tube front end. Should be here next week. Been making forward progress cleaning up any wiring not needed and cleaning up parts that will be reused.

Got the rods and pistons cleaner up as well as the spindles and brake bracket. Thinking about doing the ATS Brembro calipers but not certain just yet. Evaporust and Berryman Chemdip is some awesome stuff when it comes to cleaning up parts.

yes the fitment was pretty nice. all the reading ive done says with their motor mounts the motor sets up high so im more then likely going to modify them or build my own so i can get the motor to sit as low as possible for more hood clearance as well as trans tunnel clearance for the 4l80. i should have that part figured out when i get back in from work at the end of the month. I should also be starting on the hotside and figuring out turbo placement and mounting.
Thanks Ry. still lots to do and im trying not to get in a rush and make it to where i have to go back later and redo something. maybe by the end of the year ill have it up and running.

Wasn't 100% sure the stock steering shaft would reach with he team z k member and stock rack and pinion but with a few good hits with a hammer the shaft slid out and worked perfectly
Brake lines re-routed.
Borrowed a VS racing s475 for mock up

Yup teamz has the engine higher then Aje by almost 2 inches and guys have a hard time getting 4l60-4l80 and t-56 to fit......Some guy cut the engine mounts and make them shorter........Also long tube headers don't clear the steering shaft.......Dave at teamz was asked to put a note on his web site on which transmissions fit but he never did............Aje all transmissions fit and conversion long tube headers fit and clear the steering shaft...

Ill be able to make this work but it'll need some persuading on the trans tunnel for sure. I cut the stock trans mounting brackets off to get a little more room around the shift lever.

Rear end angle
Transmission side
Booboo37 here are the angles as ihe car sits right now. They are within a degree of each other and I'll be able to tweak the rear end some once I get adjustable control arms

So you have the wheels on the car and the suspension loaded and the car level ?? ....... Most guy check the angle of the engine and trans off the face of the balancer..............Who's trans cross member are you using ??

Wheels are on the car and suspension is loaded. The ride height isn't set up yet. Right now I don't have a cross member in the car, I have to make one. I have a jack under the pan. I know it's not how most would like to be pulling drive like angles but it should still be pretty damn close. Did thos angles seem ok to you?

Built this brace today.
Put the tensioner on and that isn't going to fly. Guess it's good that this happened, now I was able to get the turbo moved so I'll be able to mount the AC compressor where the tensioner is.
This will work out a lot better. The downpipe will be a little tight on the radius but I can't make it work
Clearanced a little bit of the tunnel as well.

Thanks! And yes I went back and checked the angle from the face of the crank. It was damn near identical. I feel comfortable with the angles, plus I'll be able to adjust the pinion angle of the rear end later.
