Yea, I'm committed. Just trying to figure out how much its gonna cost. I've found used Ls1's for like 3200-4400 with tranny and all parts.(Wiring harness, ECU, Starter, all pully driven accessories.) I know its gonna take some crazy fabrication. The fiat body is a unibody, so I guess I'll have to have a custom chassis fabricated. Wondering how much all the parts would be probably be for the conversion. I already have a 12 bolt , that I'll have rebuilt and shortened to fit. I know I'll need a driveshaft made also. What else will I expect to need? Are there any packages that include like custom motor mounts and such? Any info is appreciated.

Matrik, I'm in the same boat as you. My Spider's an 82 Turbo, and I'm also looking into replacing the engine with an LS1 (as this block's probably going to die fairly soon). Check this thread over on the Fiat Spider forums. A user there with the handle "litterbx" did something similar with an LT1 engine, so he might have some tips.

Let me know if you learn anything, as I don't know what all I'll need either!

DO IT! If you have the skills, tools, time, and money, that would be amazing.
