Building a 66 chevelle. 427 LS Noonan billet block with 4.5L whipple(very likely).
Can not decide on transmission to save my life.
Which are you going for on a build like this?
Car is an original 4spd SS

Keep in mind that was stock a-arms and steering box, and just a bunch of hotchkis stuff ..i.e..sway bars springs shocks. So i'm sure this will handle a lot better.
But part of me wants to make it drivable for the wife if we were to take it on the Power Tour or some **** lol
Anyone know of a bad *** 6L90e builder that has paddle shifters? Maybe that can be an alternative

Converting a manual to auto is a cardinal sin 😳 when hot rodding in my personal opinion. Magnum would be my choice.
However, its your car so it should be what you like driving.
Best wishes with build (BWWB)

Hard to say value wise, unless you're considering selling it in the very near future I wouldn't worry about value that much. I think people are going to be so focused on finding actual muscle cars from the 60-70's that are in good shape that what transmission they have in them is immaterial.
But, like was mentioned above, enthusiasts will always gravitate towards the manual.
