Default LS1/ Muncie Issue Need Help

Hi guys,

I hope someone can help me out.

I have an LS1 out of 2002 Corvette that I had swapped I to my 69 442 with BOP TH400. Decided to go with a Muncie 4 Speed behind the LS now. Purchased the Lakewood 15005 Scattershield and it will not bolt up flush to the block. The bolts from the Rear Crankshaft Seal Housing are in the way of getting the shield flush against the block. I am wondering if I am missing something like an adapter or spacer of some kind.

When I had the BOP TH400 mounted I had to get the Trans Dapt Plate to space it out and line up the mounting bolts. Wondering if that is also the case here.

Here are some pics of the motor and Scattersheild.

Any help would be appreciated

Thank you

Shouldn't there be a block plate that bolts to the engine and the BH bolts over that?

Thank you, will take a look. Would like to have a scatterplate behind the Lakewood Housing that was purchased. The 621 mentioned above does not have the option of putting a scatterplate.

Thanks

Check the spline/disk engagement and pilot bearing/shart depth with a spacer.

I think you are having that issue because you have a bell housing with dual bolt patterns, Chev and BOP. Try one that is Chev only.

The block plate hits the rear cover bolts, You have to drill holes in the block plate.
