So during my swap for my land cruiser I'm getting close to mating the transmission but I'm not sure what flex plate I need. I have read a significant amount on flange size but I'm still confused. While I'm aware of the 99 to 00 6.0 and the 4.8 with a manual had a larger protruding crank flange and the rest had then much thinner one it seems to me my 5.3 has a thicker flange like the previous stated. I would rather get your guys opinion before assembling everything and the starter doesn't engage. If I'm correct I should be using a flat flex plate with the spacer between the crank and flex plate correct? Thanks ahead of time.
So im kinda retarded and went the suggested route. Everything was going super well mating up and then I broke the transmission case. So turns out the spacer with the flat flex plate doesn't fit. So I popped out the spacer and the flat flex plate hit the rear cover. Where do I go from here?
