Default LS3 Swap into 68 Camaro

Hello all, I'm swapping a LS3 into a 68 Camaro. I have a wrecked 2010 Camaro and was wondering what parts can I use from this car? I've taken out the motor and transmission which are installed in the 68. I just to use everything I can before I take to the junk yard. Thanks

Are you using the factory harness? grab that if you intend on modifying it for stand alone. Also be sure to get the gas pedal and module if it has one.

Ok Thanks, I have a harness and I did remove the gas pedal as well. Why would would I need the module? if so is it the one that has the four plug ins under the dash?

A 2010 Camaro does not have a TAC module. Besides, I would go with a Holley EFI system, which will come with a new engine harness. I would also keep the DBW. There are several companies that make brackets to mount the Holley recommended pedal in a 68 Camaro.

The other thing you might consider keeping is the fuel pump module. I would use a Rick's Restomod tank that uses the modern fuel modules and contact VaporWorx for the parts needed to turn the OEM module into constant 60psi flow. This is a much better alternative than using other tanks and pumps.

I've got a tank from Holley and I'm using a Corvette type regulator. Would I still need the fuel pump module?

No. The Holley tanks have a small hole for the pump.

Some advice, Don't get a holley 4150 sniper. Worked on that over the weekend on a 360 bracket car. Spitting fuel out the throttle body. Wouldn't self learn. Deletes learned memory after the battery is out for 45 minutes. Garbage. Get the multi point kit if you have to run efi or use a carb.

Sounds like wiring issues.
