Default 1976 F100 4.8/4L80e Swap

Well, the 351 has stopped firing. The distributor was seized in the block and now the cam is bent. So, the next best thing to do is to swap it! I haven't been on this site in many years but look forward to getting back into another LS-powered car. For now, I have the Ford heartbeat ready to come out.

76 Regular cab longbed

Looks like a great project. Get ready for the Ford guys that are going to hate on it!

Welcome. Nice looking Ford. Growing up with a Ford faithful father, I always loved the early Trucks like yours.

This should be a fun build

Update. 351W is out. LS 4.8/80e is painted and ready to go in. I should have it in tomorrow. I went with the AutoFab mounts for both the engine and Transmission. I will let you know how they fit once they are in. For now, I am going to convert the harness to a stand-alone. I just want it running and driving on its own again.

How did the Autofab mounts work out? Did the factory rear sump pan clear your steering gear? I will be putting a LQ9/4L80E in my 1970 2wd F250 in the next couple months.
