Default 302-1 vs 302-2 Oil Pan (again)

Swapping a 6.0/4L80 onto a 1969 C10 and looking at put my order in for my pan. However, after reading every thread I can find on these pans I am still alittle confused on which one works best. I like that the 302-2 has a higher capacity and provides more clearance up front. But I am worried that because the sump protrudes 2+ inches farther forward it might interfere with the cardle/crossmember. I am pretty positive the 302-1 will clear the cradle/crossmemeber but hear there might be clearance with the cross link. And the slightly lower capacity is not ideal.

What have you guys seen when installing these pans?

I am running the Blackheart engine mounts with their LS adapted clamshell mounts.

I'm running the 302-2 pan on a 70 El Camino and it works fantastically well. Plenty of ground clearance and no involvement of the pan up front with the steering center link. I'm also running the Holley / Hooker / Blackheart forward bias engine mounts and their Blackheart headers.

About the Holley 302-2 and 302-3 pan - this is an actual, genuine, pan purchased from Holley. Not a fake, knockoff, counterfeit or otherwise stolen piece of intellectual property from Holley. Buyer beware of something that might not fit if purchased for a lowball price.

The engine mount instructions call for the 302-2/302-3 oil pan:
