Default Nylon to steel fuel lines

I'm at a loss as to how to connect steel brake line (3/8") to nylon fuel lines. Is there a fitting made for this?

Do you mean straight line or the GM quick connect style?

What I'm trying to do is go from 3/8" brake line to GM nylon line. All I can find are -AN fittings and I don't have an AN flaring tool just regular SAE.

Best method is to flare the steel line for a GM quick connect. You need something like this set from Mastercool 71475. I bought mine a few years ago on eBay when someone had is mislabeled for a smoking deal.

Dorman makes a fitting to do it. Its a compression fitting on one side, a barbed fitting for nylon hose on the other side. I've used them and never had any problems with them. Its Dorman part number 800-035. Just Google it and it should come up

I used it on my truck that I swapped a 5.3 into, and it just rolled over 61,000 miles, so I'd say yes, it works.

I've personally never had good luck with compression fittings. I'd just find a buddy who has a Mastercool set that you can borrow, or have come over and use. It takes about 30 seconds to flare.

LS1, thanks for the replies I figure if it is good enough for you & works then it has got to be a reliable and working solution. ryeguy, I hear you... that tends to be my luck on comp fittings as well... sometime I get them to "Seal" and other times they just don't want to work for me...
